NFT ParentView - GPS Tracking and Notifications

Image of ParentView application on phoneWe’re happy to announce that Weatherford ISD has partnered with National Fleet Tracking to bring ParentView to our families. NFT ParentView is a portal and app for parents which enables them to see when their child boards and exits buses with time and location stamps.

Parents can also set parameter-alerts to get notified on pick-up and drop-off of their kids. Plus, when buses travel out of town (sports, UIL, FFA, field trips, etc.), parents can receive SMS text messages to get approximate return-time notifications.

All students are provided an ID card by WISD. This ID card can correspond with the GPS systems installed in our school buses to provide in-transit visibility. As students board the school bus and scan their ID card which aligns their location with the school bus movement. Parents and caregivers can track their student to and from school safely.

How does this system work?
The ID Cards are equipped with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology originally developed to track shipping containers all around the world. This technology, accompanied by Global Positioning System (GPS) technology provides real time in-transit visibility for your Roo.

Is this system safe?
Every ID Card is aligned with a registration code only provided to the parent or caregiver of each student. Parents can track their children on their Apple or Android device.

How do I use this system?
Download the NFT ParentView application on your smart phone (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) or visit the online portal at http://www.nftbusview.com/parent/. To create an account you will need the following information:
  • Your child’s campus (i.e. Elementary, Middle School, Jr. High, etc.)
  • Student ID Number
  • Date of Birth
  • 4-digit Registration Code (contact Campus office staff)

If a parent has multiple children riding buses, they must first fully complete the registration for one child, and then log into ParentView and click on “New Student” to register each subsequent child.
