Laura Baird - Tison Middle School
I attended Weatherford College right after high school graduation in the fall of 1987, where I earned my Associates Degree in the fall of 1989. I then moved on to Tarleton State University where I earned a Master of Science in Business Education. While there I earned my teaching certificate and have sense added my Technology Certificate.
My first job after graduating from college was with the State of Texas in the Nutrition Dept., I monitored the Summer Food Program. We did data entry, monitored food sites, monitored food temperature and reported back to the state. I then moved to a clerk three position with the state in the Human Resources. I did everything from work the switch board, file, process paperwork, greeting and assist with client apt. log-in.
My teaching philosophy is to aid students in obtaining a skill that can help them get a job or will equip them in the continuance of their educational career. Every student has the ability to learn a skill they can fine tune throughout their lives and it is my job to assist them in developing the skill and showing them how to fine tune it.

Jane Gregory - Ninth Grade Center
Michelle Willems - Hall Middle School
My 8th grade science teacher made me want to always do my best.
After attending Big Spring High School, Big Spring, Texas, attended University of Texas Permian Basin, Odessa, Texas for a Bachelor of Business Administration. My Certifications are for Secondary Business Administration, all-level Special Education, and Generalist (EC-4). While attending college, I became very interested in computers, and wanted to be a teacher. A business teacher position opened at the school where I was the secretary and I wasawarded the job. Each student has potential and it is up to me to give them the knowledge and have them apply it. Learning is a process that never ends, and I want students to have a desire to keep learning.

I started teaching when I moved to Weatherford because I saw it as a way to contribute to our community. Upon completion of my B.A. in PhotoJournalism in the School of Communication at the University of Texas and finishing my M.A. in Public History studies focusing on visual, written and oral communication, I worked in the non-profit and corporate world gaining technology and computer skills as I worked in publishing, graphic design, media relations and community outreach at American Red Cross and Fort Worth Star-Telegram.com. I have managed computer labs in this school district from elementary to high school levels and have been teaching Technology Applications, Business, and Information Technology. I also have my Texas Teacher Certification in Art.
