WHS Blue Belles named 2013 Showtime International 'Overall Grand Champion'
Congratulations to the Weatherford High School Blue Belles for being named the 2013 Showtime International "Overall Grand Champions" for a super team.
Blue Belles Director Laura Duck Buckner said when she explained to the Belles what they had done, they cheered...but it took her explaining the significance of the honor for them to realize what a great accomplishment they achieved.
"Showtime International hosts dozens of competitions a year," Buckner said. "The Belles won Grand Champion at the one competition we attended. At the end of the contest season, Showtime calculates all scores from all competitions as if they had only one...and the Belles came out on top of every super team that attended contest this year."
Buckner said this was the first time the Belles have achieved this award. Additional information may be found on the Showtime International website at http://www.showtimeint.com.
