Weatherford High School Calculus teacher Alan Romer (left) accepts a certification of recognition from Weatherford ISD Board Vice President Paul Paschall for his students participating in the recent 11th Annual Weatherford College Coyote Area Math Championship.

WHS continued its tradition of finishing in one of the top three team places at the event, and this is the sixth consecutive year for WHS to place in the top three in the team competition.

Members of the WHS Calculus team consisted of Carly Good, Haydent Nugent, Kevin Wiggs, and Kyle Wiggs. These students placed third in this year’s competition. Students had the opportunity to compete individually and/or in teams in both the pre-cal division or calculus division.

Also, Brendan Austria placed seventh in the individual portion of the contest.
