Dr. Jeffrey Hanks

Dr. Jeffrey Hanks joined the Weatherford ISD family in December 2011.

Prior to his arrival in Weatherford, Dr. Hanks served as Superintendent of Schools for Burnet Consolidated Independent School District from 2001-2011 where he maintained a strong influence on student achievement.

BCISD was a TEA “Recognized” District five times under Dr. Hanks' leadership, and he was instrumental in passing a $37.5 million bond in 2002 for the construction of a high school campus.

Dr. Hanks also was the recipient of the John R. Hoyle Award for Educational Leadership at the Texas Association of School Administrators / Texas A&M University Administrative Leadership Institute in 2009.

Prior to his tenure at BCISD, Dr. Hanks was a high school principal at three different school districts from 1993-2001, an assistant high school principal at Palestine ISD (1992-93), a teacher/coach at Palestine ISD (1984-92), and a teacher/coach at Temple ISD (1982-84).
