hello weatherford.isd families and staff I'm Bo Reese superintendent of schools for Weatherford ISD and I hope this message finds you well and enjoying your summer it just seems too early to be talking about back to school plans with recent announcements by the president of the United States the governor of Texas as well as the Texas Education Agency that we will indeed be having school in the fall Weatherford ISD wants you to know that we've been working out plans provide stay clean sanitize facilities where students can experience top-notch learning and our Educators can work their magic with kids about two weeks ago we lost two staff serve as well as a parent survey to get your opinions and ideas about the reopening of school thank you to those of you who provided that input we're using your responses as a guide as we plan essay reopening of our campuses what we do know and want to share with you at this time when the phone is D will be offering two options for student learning in the coming school year face-to-face or online learning if you select face-to-face learning at school Your Child Campus will follow Traditional School schedule or we are enhancing our health safety and security measures to ensure a safe healthy and secure learning environment your child will be in a classroom and we will support for your child's social and emotional well-being if you select online learning for your child it will look different than the at home learning offered last free online learning was still occur call Sue the weather for today is D virtual Learning Academy this online learning platform offers students quality and rigorous instruction in a safe for Matt at home during the week your child will be required where to log in Daily and complete coursework daily Weatherford ISD will provide technology for students who need devices or may need internet access to participate in the online learning experience how many of you have questions about the upcoming year and we will do our best to answer those questions as new information becomes available just this week we received information from the Texas Education Agency about reopening schools but they're still any unanswered question please be patient with us and know it will communicate with you as we learn new information we want to be open and transparent with all stakeholders to ensure that this is going to be a great school year for all bar students I look forward to working with our staff are parents and students and families to make this a wonderful school year
