The varsity boys wrestling team traveled to Arlington Martin this weekend for the Warrior Invitational. In what is considered one of the tougher tournaments in the area the Roos left it all on the mat with some of the better area teams including defending National team and four time State Champion, Allen HS. Coach Sanders was extremely proud of the way his team fought through adversity to get some big wins, naming Cole Fournier wrestler of the week for his outstanding performance in defeating a defending state champion on his way to a 4th place finish in the 120lb class. Also taking home medals was T. Payne, 4th in the 113lb class and Nestor Oviedo who had a thrilling overtime win against district rival Midlothian in the 170lb class to take 3rd.
