One of the reasons Naglieri became an educator was because of the profound impact by his high school French teacher and calculus teacher. They challenged him every day to improve and inspired him to their passion of teaching. While he can’t give back to them, he can pay it forward by being the same kind of teacher to his students.
Naglieri has been instrumental in integrating a Response to Intervention process throughout the District. He challenges his students to be creative problem solvers. Over time he challenges students to grow from understanding math concepts to an application of math concepts to analysis of problems through math. Every day he helps students to reason, make predictions, and verify their conclusions.
Students use state-of-the-art technology to conduct research, analyze data and present their findings.
Naglieri is focused on developed lessons based upon each student’s learning style, and he shares his enthusiasm with students to get them excited about learning.
