Weatherford ISD Statement

Like many other school districts in the metroplex and across the nation, Weatherford High School has been tagged on a social media accounts referring to clowns. These anonymous “clown” posts are similar to other social media postings and are widely considered to be a hoax.

While there have been no threats to our students or facilities within these posts we know these messages may be concerning. We want our families and community to know that the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority.

Weatherford ISD administrators and the Weatherford Police Department School Resource Officers have been made aware of the social media chatter. If you notice anything unusual or have any information related to the posts, please contact the Weatherford ISD Student Services Department at 817-598-2803 or the Weatherford Police Department.

Any person who is involved in creating and posting messages that create a disruption to our learning environment will be subject to disciplinary action and prosecuted to the fullest extent possible.
