Connect an iPad to Your Home Network

Step 1:

iPad Desktop
Click on Settings.
 

If you are using a district provided hotspot, please make sure it is turned on, so it may autoconnect.

Step 2:

Click on WiFiClick on WiFi.

Step 3:

WiFi Network NameClick on your home network name.

Step 4:

WiFi PasswordEnter the password for your home network.

Step 5:

WiFi CheckmarkA checkmark will appear next to the network when you are connected to it.
 
From here you may close out of settings.

Step 6:

Securly Log inOpen the Chrome Browser.
 
This is located in the Google folder on your desktop.

Step 7:

Securly Login with GoogleThe student will log in to Cipafilter with his or her district account [email protected]  (there are exceptions to the username) and password.
 
Upon successful login, the iPad will be filtered with Cipafilter.
 

Username:

[email protected]
(There are exceptions to the username.)
Eight characters of first name and eight characters of last name with a tie breaker.
 

Password:

Elementary students- roos and the student ID number.
 
Students may know the ID number as his or her lunch number.
 
Example: roos912345
 
If a student does not know his or her username or ID, then the parent needs to contact the teacher.

Shared iPad:

If the iPad is to be shared between students, click on Cipafilter Logout on the home screen.
 
The next time the internet is accessed, the Cipafilter login process will start again.
