I have been an educator since 1998 following my graduation from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. A lifelong learner, I earned a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction in 2002 and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership in 2006 from West Texas A&M University. In 2012, I earned a Ph.D. in C&I from Texas Tech University. I completed post-doctoral studies in Library Science at Sam Houston State University in 2013.
I am certified as a teacher in Texas holding certificates in Secondary English, English as a Second Language, and School Librarian. I am also certified as a Principal and a Superintendent.
My family became part of the Weatherford ISD family in 2009. I joined Weatherford High School as an English teacher. I then served as a Library Media Specialist and Campus Technologist from 2011-2016.
Currently, I am a Digital Content Developer for the Weatherford ISD Technology Department.
