Board of Trustees Approves WHS Principal

The Weatherford ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Brannon Kidd as principal for Weatherford High School at their Regular Meeting held on May 13, 2019.

Mr. Kidd holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

He began his career in education in Wichita Falls in 1997. Since that time, he has held various coaching, teaching, and administrative positions. He currently serves as Assistant Principal at Springtown High School.

“I am very pleased and excited that Brannon Kidd has been named principal of Weatherford High School,” said Weatherford ISD superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Hanks. “Mr. Kidd brings a wealth of administrative experience in both large and small schools that will complement the strengths of the high school campus. Throughout his career he has focused on building relationships with students, staff, and community. He is committed to enhancing the high school learning environment to ensure all students learn to their maximum potential.”

Mr. Kidd said, “First and foremost, I look forward to meeting and working with the students and staff of Weatherford High School. I’m also excited to be a part of the Weatherford community that has such a great reputation for supporting our school.”
