WISD Maintenance Department Employee of the Year

Weatherford ISD is honored to continue our tradition of recognizing valuable members of our Roo family whose work supports our campuses and departments with our annual Staff Recognition Awards. The individuals selected perform their duties in an outstanding manner and make positive contributions to their campus or department.

The Maintenance Employee of the Year has been employed with district for 19 years. He started his career at WISD as a night custodian but his willingness to get the job done was quickly noticed and he was soon promoted. He then became interested in furthering his education in the plumbing trade…earned his apprentice plumber’s license…and is currently taking evening classes at Weatherford College. You may have seen him repairing outdoor sprinkler systems on our campuses, repairing roof leaks, or addressing dripping sinks. He is an essential part of the Maintenance Department and willing to go above and beyond what is asked of him.
