Weather Update 8-27-2019

Dear Weatherford ISD Families,

We are monitoring weather conditions this morning and will continue to do so throughout the day. During a lightning warning, students on buses will remain on the bus until it is safe to move to the building. We encourage you to use your judgement in dropping off your children at bus stops and our schools. Our desire is to keep students and staff as safe as possible during a weather event. If a lightning warning is in progress at drop off or pick up times, we will hold all students on the buses or in the building until the warning is lifted. This allows students and staff to remain safe. As a result, bus transportation will be delayed.

Should it become necessary to notify parents during a severe weather event, we will use our automated calling system and text notification process.

We appreciate your support as we work to ensure the safety of our students, parents, and staff.
