UPDATE:
The lockdown at Weatherford High School has been lifted.
We want to reassure parents that the situation was contained and that our students and staff were safe within our buildings.

Students are currently being released and buses will run on a normal schedule.

The following message has been sent by call, email, and text to our high school families regarding an active situation on school grounds. Please know our students and staff are on lockdown and are safe within our high school buildings.

Dear WHS Family,
We are notifying you that Weatherford High School is currently on a lockdown because of an active situation on school grounds. Police have been notified and are on campus.

All students and staff are safe.

Again, we want to reassure parents that the situation is contained and that our students and staff are safe within our buildings. The campus will remain on lockdown until this situation can be resolved. However, no one is being allowed on campus at this time.

We will continue to notify parents as we learn more information.
