The school board also approved Amy Crippen to serve as the Director of Community Education for Weatherford ISD. Mrs. Crippen currently serves as the principal of Martin Elementary and will finish the year in this position. Her 24-year career includes serving as an elementary school counselor at both Wright and Martin, Assistant Principal at Austin Elementary, and Principal of Martin Elementary.
Brittenie Polk was approved as the Director of Elementary Education. Ms. Polk has held teaching, Assistant Principal, and Principal positions throughout her career and is currently the Director of Special Services in Gainesville ISD. She holds a Master of Education from Abilene Christian University and has over 17 years of service in public education.
Michael Blankenship was approved as the Director of Secondary Education. Mr. Blankenship began his career in public education in 1999 and has served as a teacher, coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal. He holds a M.Ed. in Education Administration from the University of North Texas and is currently the Campus Academic Coordinator at Obadiah Knight Elementary School in Dallas, TX.
