Weatherford ISD Mourns the Loss of Shawna Cooper

Shawna Cooper, an instructional paraprofessional for Weatherford ISD, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022. She had been a member of the WISD family for more than 20 years, working at Austin Elementary and most recently at Sequin Elementary. Shawna loved children, drag racing, tubing, the beach and floating the river.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sammie Perry, her grandmother Bennie Lucas, brother Toby and sister Angela. Shawna is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dudley Reid Cooper; children Joshua Cooper and Reid Cooper; and her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Cooper Potts. She was dearly loved by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service: 5pm, Friday August 26, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
