Weatherford ISD Mourns the Loss of Chuck Fredrikson

Weatherford ISD mourns the loss of Chuck Fredrikson, recently retired Weatherford High School Computer Animation teacher and current substitute, who passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024.

Following an outstanding career in the private sector, Chuck began teaching at Weatherford High School in January 2002 where he was focused on changing lives, uplifting the community, and enjoying the growth and success of students. He was the recipient of the Superintendent’s Heart Award in 2015, and in 2019, he was named the WHS Teacher of the Year and the WISD Secondary Teacher of the Year. Mr. Fredrikson retired at the end of the 2023 school year, then returned this year as an active substitute. He was greatly admired as a teacher by his students and colleagues.

A Celebration of Life for Chuck Fredrikson will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 1:00 pm in the Durant Auditorium at Weatherford High School.
