Kindra Lucia Appointed to Weatherford ISD Board of Trustees

At a Special Meeting of the Weatherford ISD Board of Trustees, the school board approved the appointment of Kindra Lucia to fulfill Toby Taylor’s term through May 2025. Toby Taylor, who passed away earlier this year, was a dedicated school board member whose service to Weatherford ISD will long be remembered.

Kindra Lucia is a Weatherford ISD parent and active member of our community. She currently serves as an Ambassador and Board member for the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Kindra is a member of the City of Weatherford Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and a volunteer for Downtown Weatherford Inc.

School Board President, Mike Guest said, “With her extensive involvement in various community initiatives and a deep commitment to enhancing our educational environment, Kindra brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective that will be invaluable to the board. We are thrilled to welcome Kindra Lucia to the school board.”

“I am honored to be appointed to the school board and to have the opportunity to continue the work Toby Taylor was so passionate about,” said Kindra Lucia. “I am committed to working alongside my fellow board members to support our students and staff and to ensure our schools provide the best possible education for every child.”

Kindra Lucia will officially assume her duties as the Place 6 representative at the next Regular Meeting of the Weatherford ISD Board of Trustees, scheduled for June 10, 2024 at 6:00 pm.
