Weatherford ISD Names Marshall Williams as Head Football Coach

Weatherford ISD has named Marshall Williams as the new head football coach of Weatherford High School.

Williams brings more than two decades of coaching experience across successful Texas high school programs. Most recently, he served as offensive coordinator at Lovejoy High School, helping lead the team to an area championship and playoff appearances. Before that, he was the head football coach and boys athletic coordinator at Timber Creek High School, where he led the program to multiple postseason appearances.

His coaching career also includes stops at Southlake Carroll, Cedar Ridge, and Brewer, where he contributed to championship-caliber teams and consistent on-field success.

“We are excited to welcome Coach Williams to Weatherford ISD and to Roo Nation,” said Scott Curran, athletic director. “He is a proven leader who understands how to build a program the right way, which is through discipline, relationships, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the field. We believe he is the right person to lead our football program forward.”

Williams earned his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and an associate degree from Eastfield Community College.

“I’m honored to be selected as the next head football coach at Weatherford High School,” Williams said. “This is a special community with great traditions, and I look forward to building something Roo Nation can be proud of.”

Williams will begin his role immediately.
