Weatherford ISD has named Ember McCune as the district’s new director of career and technical education.
McCune currently serves as the district’s CTE coordinator, where she oversees the district’s CTE program, including 13 TEA career clusters and 25 pathways. She manages 59 CTE teachers across four campuses and leads efforts in college, career, and military readiness (CCMR), program development, and industry partnerships.
In her role, McCune has led grant development and management, overseeing more than $1 million in funding, while also coordinating districtwide initiatives, student programming, and workforce partnerships.
McCune holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Western Governors University and a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University.
She will continue leading the district’s CTE programs in her new role.
