Weatherford ISD has named Kelsey Smith as director of instructional support.

Smith brings more than a decade of experience in public education, including service as a campus principal in both Weatherford ISD and Mansfield ISD. She currently serves as a principal in Mansfield ISD, where she leads campus operations, supports instructional practices, and oversees student achievement and campus improvement efforts.

Prior to her current role, Smith spent over a decade in Weatherford ISD, where she supported campus operations, instructional coaching, and student services. Her experience also includes roles as a school counselor and classroom teacher, providing a well-rounded background in supporting students and staff.

Smith has extensive experience in professional learning communities, instructional coaching, and campus leadership development, and is a certified appraiser under the Texas Teacher and Principal Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS and T-PESS).

She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree and superintendent certification, with an expected completion in 2026.
