Weatherford ISD has named Belinda Fincher as principal of Ikard Elementary School.
Fincher currently serves as assistant principal at Austin Elementary and brings 36 years of experience in public education, including campus administration, instructional coaching, intervention leadership, and classroom instruction.
Prior to her current role, Fincher served as instructional coach at Ikard Elementary, where she supported professional learning, grade-level data meetings, and instructional alignment across grade levels. Her experience also includes teaching and interventionist roles in Weatherford ISD and Fort Worth ISD.
Throughout her career, Fincher has led professional development, facilitated PLCs, supported MTSS initiatives, and worked closely with teachers to strengthen instructional practices and student achievement.
Fincher earned a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Elementary Education from The University of Texas at Arlington.
She will begin serving as principal of Ikard Elementary School after the 2025-26 school year concludes.
