Weatherford ISD has named Dr. Jessica Duenez as director of student services.
Duenez currently serves as principal of the district’s Ninth Grade Campus, where she has led efforts focused on instructional coaching, student growth, and data-driven practices. Under her leadership, the campus demonstrated growth across multiple STAAR End-of-Course assessments, including gains in Algebra I, Biology, and English I performance.
Prior to her current role, Duenez served as principal of Juan Seguin Elementary School, where the campus earned Weatherford ISD’s first “A” accountability rating and increased from zero distinctions to three distinctions under her leadership. Her experience also includes service as principal of Crockett Elementary, assistant principal at Aledo Middle School, and classroom teacher roles in both Birdville ISD and Huntsville ISD.
Duenez earned a Doctor of Education from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of North Texas, and a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University.
She was named Weatherford ISD Principal of the Year in 2024 and received the TASRO Administrator of the Year award in 2025.
She will support student services initiatives across the district in her new role.
