Weatherford ISD has named Dr. Terry Morawski as assistant superintendent of operations.
Morawski currently serves as strategic communications manager for Pfluger Architects and as an adjunct professor in the Doctor of Education program at Dallas Baptist University. He brings more than 20 years of district leadership experience, including executive-level roles in operations, strategic planning, communications, bond programs, and facilities management.
Prior to his current roles, Morawski served as superintendent of Fort Smith Public Schools in Arkansas, where he led a district serving more than 14,000 students and 2,000 employees. He also held leadership positions, including deputy superintendent and chief operations officer in Fort Smith Public Schools, deputy superintendent of administrative services in Comal ISD, assistant superintendent of strategic initiatives in Mansfield ISD, and director of strategic planning, capital improvement and initiatives for growth in San Antonio ISD.
“Dr. Morawski brings a wealth of experience in public education and district leadership," said Superintendent Dr. Sean Scott. "His background leading large school systems and supporting a wide range of district operations makes him a great fit for Weatherford ISD. We are excited to welcome him to our team."
Throughout his career, Morawski has overseen major bond and construction programs and provided leadership to departments such as facilities, transportation, technology, safety and security, student nutrition, human resources, and business operations.
Morawski earned his doctorate from Dallas Baptist University, a master's degree from Seton Hall University, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
