Weatherford ISD has named Amber Ross as principal of the Ninth Grade Campus.
Ross currently serves as an assistant principal at Fossil Ridge High School in Keller ISD, where she oversees instructional leadership, student discipline, attendance intervention, credit monitoring, and staff supervision. She also supervises academic departments and facilitates professional learning communities focused on improving student outcomes.
Prior to her current role, Ross served as testing and 504 coordinator and intervention specialist at Boswell High School, where she coordinated assessment programs for students and helped develop campus systems to support student achievement, accountability, and intervention services.
Ross began her career as a dance educator and program director, leading award-winning student organizations and managing budgets, fundraising, and community partnerships.
She earned a master’s degree from Lamar University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas.
