Musical Awakenings presents the excitement of live piano recitals to children while teaching the basic elements of music through fun, interactive activities. The Cliburn has offered these programs for over 13 years for free to public elementary schools.
Colleen Mallette served as the facilitator for the presentation, which included the musical talents of Evan Mitchell. The students have been learning about the Carnival of the Animals in music class each day in preparation for this event.
