Today's Weather and School Release

This afternoon, Weatherford ISD held students inside during release time. Due to weather conditions, including lightning in our area, all Weatherford ISD elementary campuses kept students inside the building until the lightning warning was lifted. The inside release also affected our secondary campuses as the lightning warning remained in effect at the time of their dismissal.

In these situations, parents may choose to come to the office to pick up their child. Buses, however, will wait at campuses until it is safe for students to board. Please note that buses and daycare vans may be delayed in arriving at their stops due to this weather delay.

Thank you for your understanding as we implemented bad weather processes that are designed to keep our children safe.
