High School Students Tour Jamak Fabrication

Weatherford students were recently treated to a tour of Jamak Fabrication’s manufacturing facility located here in Weatherford. Cody Dotson’s Principles of Manufacturing students from the WHS Ninth Grade Center, along with Kevin Herring’s WHS Advanced Engineering students, were given the chance to tour the plant and visit with Steve Meeks, Manufacturing Engineer, as well as Brian Thornburg, Director of Product Development. Following the tour, a presentation was given explaining all of the products the company creates as well as all the opportunities available to students who pursue a career in engineering.

Weatherford High School Career & Technical Education is designed to prepare our students for success in the global community. We thank Jamak board member, Ken Davis, for his assistance in setting this opportunity in motion and his support of WHS CTE programs.
