WISD Announces Public Hearing to Discuss The Texas Performance Report and Evaluation of the District's Accelerated Instruction Program for 2016-2017

Weatherford, Texas - The Weatherford Independent School District will conduct a public hearing for the 2016-2017 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) on January 15, 2018, as part of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education.

The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Weatherford ISD District Services Building Boardroom located at 1100 Longhorn Drive.

Texas Education Code §39.053 requires each school district's board of trustees to publish an annual performance report that includes the TAPR report; campus performance objectives; a report of violent or criminal incidents; and information received under the Texas Education Code §51.403 (e) from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Additionally, Texas Education Code §29.081 requires a public hearing to discuss the evaluation results of the District’s Accelerated Instruction Program.

The TAPR reports student performance by grade level and for specific groups of students. In addition to holding the hearing for public discussion of the report, the TAPR reports are posted at the links below. To accommodate members of the public without internet access, copies of the full TAPR will be available at the Weatherford ISD Administration Building located at 1100 Longhorn Drive, Weatherford TX, after the Public Hearing.
