Our thanks to the campus administrators and School Resource Officer who conducted an immediate investigation into the incident that occurred at Tison Middle School this morning. Their swift work resulted in the identification of the students involved. Disciplinary action will be administered according to the Weatherford ISD Student Code of Conduct.

Weatherford ISD is making you aware of an incident that occurred at one of our campuses this morning.

A corded cotton drawstring fashioned as a noose was discovered this morning hanging from a stall in a second floor restroom at Tison Middle School. This offensive symbol does not represent what we expect of our students in Weatherford ISD and we will not tolerate this behavior.

We do not take this matter lightly. An immediate investigation has been launched. The student or students who are responsible for this action will be disciplined according to the WISD Student Code of Conduct.

We encourage anyone who has knowledge of this incident or who is aware of any inappropriate actions or comments related to our schools to contact a school administrator immediately so the matter can be fully investigated and addressed.
