WHS senior softball player signs letter of intent with Weatherford College

By signing with the Lady Coyotes, Cleveland said she is one step closer to living her dream of playing softball at the next level. She also said that she has had her eyes set on playing at Weatherford College ever since the softball program was added a few years ago.

"After meeting Coach [Haley] Williams and seeing how she works so well with her players and the love she has for the game, it was an easy decision to make," Cleveland said. "I had looked at other programs and made several visits, but playing for the Coyotes was always at the top of my list."

Cleveland has been playing softball since she was 4 years old. She started out playing in little league and then moved on to select ball.

Although Cleveland has played multiple positions, her recent success has come from playing as a center fielder.

Cleveland will be beginning her final season with the Lady Roos softball program, and she also plays select ball with Texas Elite Gold.
