Say 'Thank You' to Board Members

The work of a school board member is not easy. School board members donate countless hours of their time preparing for meetings, attending meetings and trainings, and supporting school-related functions and events. They make tough decisions on complex educational and social issues that affect our community and the lives of approximately 7700 students.  In addition, they develop a budget to provide a quality educational experience for our children in a fiscally responsible manner.  We owe them a debt of gratitude for their willingness to serve.

Each one of our board members brings experience and wisdom to the table in their own unique way. The members of the Weatherford ISD Board of Trustees are advocates for every child and work to make our school district the very best it can be.  Members of the Weatherford ISD Board of Trustees are:  Paul Paschall, President; Kip Hooks, Vice President; Ashley Conlon, Secretary; Dave Cowley, Member; Jeff Geyer, Member; Dr. Joshua Tarbay, Member; and Gayle Wirtanen, Member.

We are very fortunate to have school board members who are focused on making Weatherford ISD world-class.  We appreciate their commitment to provide visionary leadership and their continued support to uphold the mission of Weatherford ISD, “To teach, challenge, and inspire each student in a safe, nurturing environment to succeed in the global community”.

Please join me in taking a moment to thank our Weatherford ISD school board members.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jeffrey M. Hanks, Superintendent

Weatherford ISD
