The annual Roo Relays were held Saturday at Kangaroo Stadium.
The JV boys walked away with an impressive team victory with 139 points. Highlights include Hunter Marsh and Dusty Schauer in the 200m dash, Tony Rivas in the 400m dash, Brent Toleson in the pole vault, Tyler Scoggin in the triple jump, Trevor Harris in the shot put and all 3 relay teams winning their division. The varsity boys placed 5th overall with outstanding efforts from James Robinson in the shot put, Grant Werts in the discus, Elliott Lancaster in the long jump, the 4x100m relay team of Elliott Lancaster, Seth Dye, Jeuqwan Brownlee and Garret Hill and the 4x400m relay team of Elliott Lancaster, Seth Dye, Michael Suttle and Garret Hill.
The JV girls placed 3rd overall Highlights include Taytum Boyd and Jeutaun Brownlee in the 100m dash, Taytum Boyd in the 200m dash, Taylor Kuritz and Makesha Barron in the 400m dash and all 3 relay team finishing 2nd in their division. The varsity girls placed 2nd as a team with strong showings from Mady Young in the 200m dash, Mady Young and Madison Cooley in the 400m dash, Madison Cooley in the 800m run and the long jump, Auburn Staples in the 100 and 300 hurdles, the 4x200 relay team of Auburn Staples, Jerika Graves, Jada Lewis and Alyssa Wisdom and the 1st place 4x400 relay team of Mady Young, Jerika Graves, Alyssa Wisdom and Madison Cooley.
