For the fifth year in a row, the WHS wrestling team, coached by Read Sanders, has advanced to the UIL State Wrestling Championships.
State participants included:
• Bethany Jackson – 6th place at state (regional champion)
• Alex Herle – 5th place at state (regional runner up)
• Gramm Kelly – 6th place at state (3rd place at regionals)
• Nestor Oviedo – state qualifier (3rd place at regionals)
• Alena Kessler – state alternate
• Alan Prince – state alternate
