Board recognizes local business partners for maintaining high rate of tax collections

Weatherford ISD’s tax collections consistently average around 99 percent. Currently, the District’s tax collections for 2013-14 are right on track with a collection rate of 95 percent of the current year levy.

Over the last several years, delinquent tax collections (including penalties and interest) have consistently been in the range of $500,000 to over $1.5 million in one year alone, with the status of WISD’s current year being a little over $771,000 as of March 6, 2014. This is a result of the efforts of Williams and her team at Linebarger, Goggan, Blair, & Sampson.
