Weatherford secondary art students make big splash at annual Weatherford Art Association event

This judged art show features 221 works of art from secondary art students representing 10 area schools.

"This is a show we hosts every year, usually during March, as a way to help promote art in Parker County Schools," Vice President of Shows Kathy Cunning said. "March is nationally known as Youth Art Month...so this is a timely display."

Judges for the show were art instructors from the Fort Worth Art Institute, Carol Womack, and Leigh Ann Williams-Hickey.

The awards reception for the students, administrators, parents, and public will be March 28 at the Firehouse Gallery beginning at 6 p.m.
