The Freshmen Kangaroos hosted the Paschal Panthers on Tuesday night. The Roos got off to a bad start in the top of the 1st inning, giving up 4 runs. The Roos responded by putting up 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st and added a run in the 3rd and 4th to tie it up at 4 apiece. Preston Edison started the game and had 4 strikeouts with no earned runs in 4 innings of work. Trenton Turrell entered the game in the 5th and Paschal rallied to score 2 unearned runs. But, Turrell settled in and went the rest of the way, holding them scoreless with 5 Ks. The Roos rallied again in the bottom of the 6th to tie it again. That setup a Roo walkoff when Kade Spooner led off the inning with a walk. Dylan Smith hit a ball that the Panthers couldn't handle, putting runners at 1st and 3rd. Demarcus Gratts knocked in the winning run the 7-6 win. Mason Zamarron had 2 walks and a triple. Thomas Wise got 2 more hits. Mikey Smith, Seth Sanchez, and Kade Spooner each added hits.
The win brings the Roos to 3-1 in district play.
