The Weatherford Lady Roos varsity shut the door early on Arlington Sam Houston, capturing a 15-0 victory on Friday. With 11 runs in the first three innings, the Lady Roos then left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A triple by Ashleigh Erb, an RBI double by Liz Konig, a two-run single by Taylor Pool, an RBI single by Meredith Dickey in the second inning fueled Weatherford Lady Roos' offense early. Liz racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Weatherford Lady Roos. Arlington Sam Houston batters struggled against Kelso O'Brien pitching during the game. Kelso pitched well, striking out nine batters and only walking one. The Lady Roos are 6-1 in district play. They will face Arlington Bowie on Tuesday at home at 6 pm. JV to follow. Go Roos.
