The Lady Roos Varsity Softball team refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Arlington Bowie, recording an 11-1 victory on Tuesday night. An RBI double by Liz Konig and a single by Abbey Cowan in the first inning and an RBI single by Liz during the second inning supplied the early offense. Liz racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Lady Roos. Arlington Bowie couldn't get anything going as long as Kelso O'Brien was on the mound. Arlington Bowie managed just two hits off of the pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during her five innings of work. The Lady Roos are now 7-1 in district play and 13-6 overall. They will face Arlington Martin on Friday in Arlington. Game time is 6 pm with JV to follow. Go Roos!
