The Weatherford Lady Roos Varsity Softball team jumped out to an early lead on Arlington Lamar and captured a 10-0 victory on Friday.
With 10 runs in the first three innings, the Lady Roos offense took care of business. A passed ball during the first inning and a three-run triple by Ariel Johns and a sacrifice fly by Ashleigh Erb in the second inning helped the Lady Roos put some runs on the board early. Ariel Johns racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lady Roos. Kelso O'Brien was in control once again with great pitching. O'Brien gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during her five innings of work. The Lady Roos are currently in 2nd place in district 3-5A and will finish their regular season tomorrow against Arlington Sam Houston in Arlington.
