The Freshmen Roos took on North Crowley at Raymond E. Curtis Field last night. The Roos came away with a 10-0 run-rule victory. Kade Spooner had 4 shutout innings on the mound, only giving up 1 hit and 1 walk. He also recorded 5 strikeouts. Preston Edison and Mason Zamarron led the Roo offense by reaching base all eight plate appearances. Edison had a single, 2 hit by pitches, a walk and 2 runs. Zamarron added a triple and a run scored. Matthew McCleary reached base 3 times and scored 2 runs. Mikey Smith, Dylan Smith, Thomas Wise and Amon Pool all contributed a hit apiece. Dylan Smith finished on the mound with an 11 pitch, 3 up and 3 down inning.
The Freshmen are now 9-3 in district play. They travel to Arlington on Thursday to take on the Lamar Vikings. Great job boys! Go Roos!
