The Lady Roos Varsity Softball team are now Bi-District champs after sweeping Keller Timber Creek 4-3 on Friday.
Offense was once again led by Junior Ashleigh Erb who had two extra-base hits for Weatherford. She homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning. Junior pitcher Kelso O'Brien's six strikeouts were enough to push the Lady Roos past Keller Timber Creek. Kelso allowed one earned run on eight hits and one walk over seven innings. The play of the game goes to Junior Caylee Bray who's outstanding play in right field ended the game with runners in scoring position for Timber Creek in the bottom of the seventh. The Lady Roos will advance to the area round of the playoffs this week. Game information will be announced soon. Way to go Lady Roos!
