The Varsity Lady Roos competed well in the 3-day Saginaw Tournament this past weekend. Thursday the Roos took 2nd in our pool only losing one game on the day setting us up for a 1st and 2nd places team pool Friday. Friday we competed hard and placed fourth in our pool placing us in the Silver bracket on Saturday. Saturday morning the Roos came out tough beating Chisholm Trail (who we lost to previously) in 3 games putting us in the semi-finals against Birdville. Birdville looked good in warmup but were no match for the Roos! We swept them in 2 games placing us in the Silver championship against the home school, Saginaw. We fought hard for two games but came up short in two close ones. The Roos lost 20-25 and 23-25. Im super proud of my kids stepping up to their competition and fighting hard. We may be young but this team is a great group of fighters! Next match is Tuesday the 19th at WHS starting with JV at 5:30.
