Hibbitts' ornament was created for Rep. Phil King who had asked for a Weatherford High School student to design an ornament that represented Parker County.
Her two-sided ornament for District 61 features the unique design of the Parker County Courthouse along with a representation of the cutting horse and calf statues that are in front of the Chamber building.
The tree will be on display now through Jan. 3, 2015 where thousands of Capitol visitors will be able to see all of the various ornaments created by students across the state.
Also, all ornaments are photographed and descriptions of their individual significance are compiled into an album so that visitors to the House Chamber and House website can enjoy each ornament's unique story.
Hibbitts' Art 3 Instructor is Diane Bolinger.
