Voting & Election Information

As part of the upcoming 2025 Bond Election, voters will decide on two important propositions to support the continued growth and development of Weatherford Independent School District. Below, you will find the text of both propositions as they will appear on the ballot.
Proposition A:
"Weatherford Independent School District Proposition A: THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE "The issuance of $68,677,483 of bonds by the Weatherford Independent School District for constructing, renovating, acquiring and equipping school facilities, including the renovation of the ninth grade center and the construction and equipment of a career and technology education center therefor and the imposition of a tax sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds."
Proposition B:
"Weatherford Independent School District Proposition B: THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE "The issuance of $79,176,007 of bonds by the Weatherford Independent School District for constructing, renovating, acquiring and equipping existing school facilities, including safety and security, HVAC, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and other life cycle system replacements and infrastructure improvements and the imposition of a tax sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds."
Proposition C:
"Weatherford Independent School District Proposition B: THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE "The issuance of $41,472,121 of bonds by the Weatherford Independent School District for constructing, renovating, acquiring and equipping school facilities, including the renovation of Crockett Elementary School and the addition of an employee childcare center and the renovation and expansion of the agricultural barn at the high school and the imposition of a tax sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds."
State law requires that all bond ballot measures include the language "This is a property tax increase," regardless of whether the tax rate increase, decreases, and is maintained. Passage of the 2025 Bond will decrease the current tax rate for Weatherford ISD residents, meaning there will be no increase in the overall property tax rate.
