Advisory Council
The Parker County Adult Literacy Council is a diverse group—including parents, community members, business leaders, and school representatives—who come together to help guide the development of programs within the WISD Community Education Department and Adult Education & Literacy Department.
By offering insight, feedback, and strategic direction, the Council plays a vital role in shaping meaningful and relevant learning opportunities. Their involvement ensures that programs are not created in isolation, but instead reflect the true needs and priorities of the community.
Serving as a bridge between Community & Adult Education staff and the public, the Council helps identify gaps, elevate community voices, and strengthen connections. Through their deep roots and relationships within Parker County, members also foster partnerships and collaboration with local organizations—helping deliver services more efficiently while minimizing duplication and maximizing impact.
