Whenever a situation within Weatherford ISD requires a special alert (campus power outage, early dismissal, security concerns, etc.), information will be posted here. In addition, please follow Weatherford ISD on Facebook for alerts.

Also, in situations where necessary, WISD will email, text message and/or call parents of students at affected campuses. Please check your Skyward account to ensure your contact information is current.

All WISD Campuses and Offices Closed - March 3, 2023

The following message was sent to WISD families and staff on March 2 at 8:45 p.m.

Because of widespread power outages, debris on roads, and minor damage to some of our campuses, all Weatherford ISD schools and offices will be closed on Friday, March 3rd.

We continue to monitor the weather forecast for this afternoon and do not anticipate any changes to school dismissal times. Should inclement weather arrive during dismissal, our campuses and employees are prepared to implement dismissal procedures to keep students safe.

We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for this afternoon.

Weatherford ISD subscribes to Perry Weather, a service that includes access to a meteorologist for our area. We also follow the weather on local media stations and use several weather apps.  

Should it become necessary to communicate with parents this afternoon regarding the weather, we will use our SchoolMessenger system to send a call/email/text to families and will post information on the Weatherford ISD website at www.weatherfordisd.com/alerts and social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).
