Officer Allen Taylor began his career with the Weatherford Police Department in 1999. Officer Taylor has served as Patrol Officer, Narcotics K9 Handler, Field Training Officer, Marine Safety Officer, and is currently assigned to the School Resource Officer Unit.

Officer Taylor has extensive training and experience in patrol tactics and procedures, juvenile law, search and seizure, narcotics, and interview and interrogation tactics. Officer Taylor was named Weatherford Police Department Officer of the Year in 2007, received the Weatherford Optimist Club Distinguished Officer Award in 2008, along with numerous other Police Commendations during his career.
