School Supply Closet

There’s something special about the first day of school—the buzz of excitement, the smell of new crayons, and the confidence that comes with a fresh backpack full of supplies. It’s a day filled with possibilities.

But for some students, that excitement can be overshadowed by worry—worry about not having what they need to start the year strong.

That’s where the Weatherford ISD Education Foundation steps in. Each year, we provide more than 1,200 students with brand-new school supplies and backpacks so every child can experience that same first-day joy.

And our support doesn’t stop there. The School Supply Closet, available all year long, ensures that teachers never have to reach into their own pockets and families never have to face a tough season alone.

Since it began in 2003-2004, this program has helped more than 25,000 children—each one starting the school year with confidence, pride, and Roo-ready excitement.

Because every child deserves to feel prepared, supported, and excited for the year ahead.

Requesting Assistance

School supplies are distributed to students at their campus. Weatherford ISD parents needing assistance with school supplies should contact the office at their child's campus.
